Hello Tomorrow! My New AVON adventure

I have been searching for quite some time now for something to do from home, aside from the regular Mom and Wife duties, and one day as I was watching some show on some channel and I saw an ad with Reese Witherspoon in it, promoting AVON! I have always liked AVON stuff, their foot products are my favorite, anyway when I saw Reese doing a lipstick commercial I decided I wanted to give it a shot, so I went to avon.com and signed up to have someone contact me about the business opportunity. I met with my district Unit Leader and a former sales rep that wanted to start up again and drank coffee and learned how to become an independent sales rep for THE company for women :). I am an eRepresentative as well as a regular sales rep, I am excited to be a part of something again, I've tried so many different things, but never quite believed in what I was selling, this I believe in. So if you like AVON then look no further stop by my site and check out the current awesome deals, contact me through my site if you have any questions or would like to be added to my email campaign list, just visit http://www.youravon.com/mesabush

Nate and his new cleaning skill

So my son is such a helper, most days he helps unload the dishwasher and on grocery days he helps me put things away, well things within his reach that is. Last week he made another mess with his Cheez-Its which is not unusual, so I bust out the "dust buster" or mini-vac I believe is what they are now-a-days :) and got to work, well low and behold he decided to take over....take a look at my big helper....

Elissa's Visit

My little (well not so little anymore) 8 almost 9 year old daughter came to visit recently, we had so much fun with her and were very sad to see her go, but she missed her friends and still had school to attend. I'm very excited because she will be coming back in a month or so to spend her summer vacation with us! While she was here we did some fun things, we made cookies, went to see Horton Hears A Who! which by the way for those who haven't seen it you really should, it was an awesome movie, there was the cutest little old lady there by herself laughing hysterically right along with us and I do believe there were more adults than kids in the theater :). We also did some shopping and watched Enchanted more than a few times. She was such a help with Nate, they had a blast chasing each other and dancing around the living room. She was also a huge help with cleaning, she made sure the living room was nice and tidy and she also kept her room very clean, which was soooooo nice! Here are a few pictures of my sweet girl :)

The Many Hats of Nate

I will begin by saying that my son is for the most part a willing participant when trying on new "hats", but there are times when I think he would rather we didn't use him and his head for our amusement, don't get me wrong he loves it too as you will see in the folowing pictures. So without further ado I give you.....The Many "Hats" of Nate.......

The New York Yankees Hat...my choice :)

His first ball cap from Old Navy :)

And now some "hats" that are just for fun....

As you can see even shirts can be "hats" :). He really is alot of fun and a good sport, I'm sure when he gets older he'll be anything but thankful.....hehe.....

New Haircut and My Best Friend

I haven't blogged in a while so I figured I would a little bit while Nate's napping. I got a new haircut a few weeks ago isn't it cute....NOT....I feel like I look like Dudley Moore! Ok so maybe its not that bad, but still I don't feel that its a ME hair cut. It's growing out now and I will continue to let it grow for quite sometime. I learned an important lesson, never give vague directions to a hair stylist and know what length is best for yourself, for your own sanity's sake. For me I am a very simple gal when it comes to my hair I like color and being able to just blow it dry and go or air dry and go either way SHORT HAIR=HIGH MAINTENANCE! And any of my friends will tell you I'm so not a high maintenance girl..lol..too much of a "free spirit" :).

So onto my next topic, my best friend Marylin! She came to visit Arizona last week and I drove to Phoenix to see her and her little man James, her girls were with her mom, but just so you know I would have loved to have seen them too :). Anyway, it was beyond great to see her, she came to town just when I needed her the most and she didn't even plan it or know that..lol..The best part about my visit with her was that it was like no time had passed since I saw her last, even though she had a new baby..hehe..we went shopping at one of our favorite stores Target and then had dinner at Applebee's :). It's days like that I miss the most, just a regular day with my best friend, what would've been even greater is if there would have been a Border's near by :). Out of everyone she is who I miss the most back in Vegas. Thanks for visiting and please come back soon...I miss you!!!!!

Nate's First hair cut

I have been struggling for quite some time on when to cut my son's hair, part of me (the hippy part) wanted to just let his hair grow and then the other night right after his bath, he laid down on the kitchen floor and rolled his head around while I did the dishes, when he got up he had lots of dust and a few pieces of macaroni (ok, so I hadn't swept in a while..I know GROSS, but Nate took care of it for me..lol....) anyway, it was at that moment I realized I needed to chop his mop. So off to the bathroom we went where I grabbed Mark's clippers, turned them on, figured out how to use them...hehe...and sat Nate on my lap and here is the result....

No more long haired baby....I miss his long waves that he used to have, but what a difference just a few inches off has made in how people react to him and he doesn't end up all sweaty on the back of his neck anymore :). He looks so grown up to me now... I forget how fast the months and years go by.
